Most 2026 robotic mowers are rated IPX4 or higher, meaning they can withstand rain showers. Many even have “Rain Sensors” that tell the mower to return to its charging station if it starts to pour, as mowing in the rain is bad for the grass and can lead to clogging. The charging station itself is weather-resistant, but it is always recommended to use a “Mower Garage” (a small plastic cover) to protect the machine from UV degradation and hail. The Mammotion LUBA 3, for instance, often comes bundled with a garage for this very reason.
